Our Mission
This site compares calming chews for dogs by what their labels actually contain: milligrams of each active per chew, the daily amount at your dog’s weight, and what published research says about each ingredient. We started with ThunderBites, the brand our readers asked about most, and now cover more than a dozen calming products. We are independent researchers, not veterinarians, and we say so plainly.

Our Team
Calming Pet Chews Label Lab
We are a small independent research team. We do not test products on dogs and we are not veterinarians. What we do: read manufacturer labels line by line, convert them to milligrams per chew and per pound of dog, compare that with published research and veterinary-body guidance (AVSAB, Fear Free, Merck Veterinary Manual, VCA), and link every source. For any health decision, your own vet comes first.

Research
We read manufacturer labels and product pages, and published veterinary research on each active ingredient.
Source check
Every dosing or safety statement links to the label or a published source. If our numbers conflict with veterinary guidance, the guidance wins and we say so.
Regular Updates
Pages are updated when a manufacturer changes a label or formula, or when new research is published.
Transparency
Affiliate links are always disclosed. We link to competing products when they are a better fit for specific dog types.
